Solid FIA Formula 2 Debut for Roman Bilinski

The opening weekend of the 2026 FIA Formula 2 season in Melbourne marked a successful debut for Roman Bilinski in the series. The DAMS Lucas Oil driver adapted quickly to the new category and showed competitive pace from the very first sessions at Albert Park.

Sprint Race

Bilinski was very quick in the Sprint Race and made strong progress through the field. The Polish-British driver handled wheel-to-wheel battles well, avoided mistakes, and maintained consistent pace around the demanding street circuit. In the end, he scored a point in his very first Formula 2 race.

Feature Race

The Feature Race confirmed Roman’s strong pace over a longer distance. The DAMS driver managed his tyres well and maintained solid performance throughout the race, looking particularly strong in the closing stages where he executed several effective overtaking moves.

The weekend in Australia showed that Bilinski adapted quickly to FIA Formula 2 and has the potential to fight regularly for points during the 2026 season.
