Great Britain: Another Strong Weekend for Roman Bilinski in FIA Formula 2
The FIA Formula 2 weekend at Silverstone was one of Roman Bilinski’s strongest performances of the 2026 season so far. The DAMS Lucas Oil driver confirmed his strong race pace, scoring points in both races and competing at the front of a highly competitive field.
Sprint Race
In Saturday’s Sprint Race, Bilinski showed strong pace from the very beginning and was actively fighting for positions. The Polish-British driver challenged his rivals in close battles, including several attacking moves through the high-speed sections of the Silverstone circuit. He eventually crossed the finish line in 7th place, securing more valuable points for DAMS Lucas Oil.
The Sprint Race confirmed that Roman performs very well on demanding circuits, where confidence, precision, and the ability to maintain consistent pace throughout the race are crucial.
Feature Race
In Sunday’s Feature Race, Bilinski was once again fighting for strong positions. After a more challenging start, he had to recover ground, but thanks to his strong pace and consistent driving, he remained inside the points-scoring positions. His performance also included several impressive overtaking manoeuvres.
Roman finished the race in a strong 8th place, confirming his consistency and improving race management over longer distances. The Silverstone weekend was another indication that the DAMS Lucas Oil driver is capable of competing successfully with the leading drivers in FIA Formula 2.
Two points-scoring finishes in Great Britain further strengthened Bilinski’s position as one of the most promising rookies of the 2026 season.
