A Difficult Weekend for Roman Bilinski Despite Strong Race Pace
The FIA Formula 2 weekend in Miami was challenging for Roman Bilinski from the very beginning. The DAMS Lucas Oil driver struggled with technical issues throughout the weekend, which had a major impact on both his preparation and starting positions for the two races.
Sprint Race
Despite the difficult start to the weekend, Roman showed very strong race pace and made good progress through the field. Bilinski handled wheel-to-wheel battles well, avoided mistakes, and consistently gained positions throughout the race. In particular, his pace during the second half of the Sprint was competitive with drivers fighting at the front.
Although he ultimately finished outside the points, he was one of the most aggressive and determined drivers on track and showed strong character throughout the race.
Feature Race
Ahead of Sunday’s Feature Race, the DAMS team worked to resolve the technical problems affecting the car, but in the end they prevented Roman from taking the start.
Despite leaving Miami without points, the weekend showed that Bilinski is capable of maintaining strong pace and staying composed even in very difficult circumstances.
